AEG fan motor how to fit and change. Instructions
How to replace and fit a cooker oven AEG fan motor.
With all built in appliances the cooker or oven will have to be removed to allow you to work on it safely and efficiently. Changing a AEG fan motor will require all the electric supply to be disconnected from the cooker.
- First remove the oven shelves
- Then remove the AEG fan motor guard plate. This is at the back of the oven usually held in place by 4 screws, but some times clipped in or held in by hand bolts. (warning be careful not to damage the thermostat probe or the lamp )
- The next thing to do is remove the fan nut that holds the AEG fan motor blade in place ( warning this nut comes off in a clockwise thread )
- You will know have to remove the back plate of the cooker, to gain access to the AEG fan motor,
- Make a wiring diagram of where the electric wires come from and then disconnect them from the AEG fan motor.
- We now need to remove the bolts or screws that hold the motor in place - there are usually 3. Some older cookers have a different system of holding the motor in place.
- Now take the motor out and replace it with the new one and then follow the previous procedure in reverse order.
