Hi the first thing that you need to check is the brushes in the motor as this is a common fault and reason that the PCB fails. then start metering the other parts looking for a direct short. with out having the appliance in front of me it is very hard to diagnose the fault. i hope this helps you

hi i have a servis washing machine m685 4w it does not do nothing at all i switch it on the pump activates for a few seconds but then stops. anyway i checked the pcb board it had blown a track which leads to the thermostat on the heater. is it possible that the thermostat could have gone faulty and blown the pcb board?

Excellent advice and guidance on the phone, just what I needed. The follow up with diagrams was also a great help. Many thanks from a grateful daughter(owner of the machine) and a reassured father!!
Such good service will bring the rewards it deserves.

Comment on Neff oven U1322N1: Main oven put on at 200deg to heat up. After about 1 min, all power in house flicked off and on again but mains didn’t trip. There was no bang or noise. Being near the oven I noticed oven fan had stopped and red light was off. Oven controls unresponsive – no red light, heat or fan. Along with everything else in the house the upper oven worked fine, so used that. Next morning, having trawled your excellent site and videos, was trying to work out how to remove oven from its unit, gave up, and just tried it for luck. All worked fine, heating up to 230deg in stages. Left on for ten mins, cycling on stat, no problem. I was assuming a problem with the fan, and that it had blown a secondary fuse within the main oven. I also assumed that if the fan wasn’t operational the heating element would be isolated for safety. Is it some sort of time delay link? What do you think caused this and why? It’s got me a bit confused and slightly worried! I would really appreciate your thoughts, even if it’s something stupidly obvious. Thanks in advance, by Paul Charmbury

Thanks for your reply Paul. Oddly, as I said, the event didn't cause any breaker to trip, but, as you say, it may well have set the clock to Auto, as I did have to reset the clock.
I will monitor it, in a more relaxed frame of mind.
Thanks again

This is normally due to the air cooling before it gets outside; this is due to the room not being warm enough or there is a restriction in the pipe
