Hi phill rees,

On all Ariston, Creda, Hotpoint, and Indesit appliances the following fault has different meanings on different types of appliance see below.

Machine: Front Loader & washer Dryer,

Error: F11,

Type: EV01 & EV02 Module,

Fault: Faulty pump. Check pump and associated wiring.

You will find a usefull workshop manual from this site

Machine: Condenser Dryer,

Error: F11,

Type: EV01 Module,

Fault: Faulty pump connection, Check pump and associated wiring.

Machine: Condenser Tumble Dryer,

Error: F11,

Type: CTD80/CTD85,

Fault: Faulty pump or connection. Check pump and connections to module J5.

Machine: Washing machines & Washer Dryers,

Error: F11,

Type: Standard,

Fault: No hot fill. Check hot tap and hose for kinking, also inlet valve

Machine: Dishwasher,

Error: F11,

Type: Standard,

Fault: Faulty heater circuit. check heater, thermistor or associated wiring.

    F11 was a new pump for my Hotpoint ctd80p dryer, cost £25 and was easy to fit. UNPLUG UNIT FROM MAINS 1st.. Remove lid then the left side panel. at the bottom left you will see two clips that hold the pump housing in place (where the two pipes go into at the rear of the unit), release these clips and the whole housing can be removed from the rear. You can then unclip the lid to reveal the pump which itself is just clipped in remove electrical plug and unclip. (no need to undo the 3 screws).
